Experience Long Beach Like A Local

Experience Long Beach Like A Local takes #WeAllGrow Changemakers on a special tour!

We All Grow is the leading blogger network for Latinx digital influencers and creatives. As Changemakers we are boldly creating spaces to amplify Latinx voices.

#WeAllGrow Summit 2019, which sold out in three hours, is an annual event of workshops, keynote speakers, and a market place, all with the intent to learn, connect, and renew our spirits. The vibe is so powerful that you are welcomed into this space with a feeling of sisterhood.

One of the highlights of the Summit are the field trips! Field trips focus on gaining new skills through hands-on activities. With trips sponsored by Dove, Red Bull, YouTube, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Long Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, approximately 500 Latinx descended upon the LA and Long Beach area.

My field trip was “Experience Long Beach Like A Local” touring various locations in Long Beach, California.

We packed two double decker buses to head to our first stop. We started with a morning cruise with Harbor Breeze Cruises in their newly built cruise ship, Sir Winston. With five levels, there’s plenty of room for a wedding, quinceañera, or any formal occasion. Harbor Breeze Cruises cruise ships docked at the Long Beach pier

Then a visit of the Aquarium of the Pacific to see their new addition, Pacific Visions. Read more about my visit in my previous review.

Next up a quick drive to the Museum of Latin American Art for beautiful art and lunch. What an honor it was to meet artist, Leo Chiachio and learn more about his art!

It wouldn’t be a Long Beach tour without visiting The Queen Mary! We were treated to dessert and a live band. (No spirits spotted this time!)

Visiting a city for the first time can sometimes be intimidating. Take the guess work and hesitation out by following their visitor’s bureau. Every city has their own which works tirelessly to promote tourism. Take a road trip, enjoy the weekend, and make memories!
