How She Does It

My blog title, How She Does It, is taken from a statement I hear often, “I don’t know how you do it.”

From sun up to sun down there’s many things that all moms do. Truthfully, I don’t know how we do it all either!

So, why do I share so much of what I do? My blog shares how I manage all of my activities while maintaining a balance that feels right for me. Every parent is welcomed to read an article and take from it what they feel will help them balance their busy life.

Here are a few photos that weave together my career, community, family and personal interests.

To get it all done, sharing the workload is a must. As my older daughters have left for college, my younger sons must step up their share. I’ll share stories of how we are learning to manage this adjustment.

Keeping our lives balanced takes planning. I’ve kept this calendar system which has helped our family. I’ll share stories of what happens when we skip this important step.

What happens when this balance is, well, off balance? I’ll share those stories too. I’ve managed a second, part-time job in the evenings this past year. Placing more time toward my career goals has taken time away from personal fitness and interests.

In the coming year, I’m happy to share more stories and insights from other moms who can shed light on the statement, “I don’t know how she does it.”
